Pricing Research
Pricing research helps determine the relationship between price and the attractiveness of your brand to the consumer. Properly conducted pricing research points out where your product may lose to the competition – or take brand share from the competition – because the price/quality relationship meets or does not meet the consumer’s expectations. Pricing research utilizes one-to-one, face-to-face, central location or in-home interviews. In most case, pricing research simulates the point-of-sale situation and thus requires that the product be placed within a priced competitive context. Respondents are exposed to a set of relevant brands under repeated, but each time slightly modified, pricing scenarios. For each price set, respondents are asked to make a purchase decision. MASMI Research’s Price Board software lays the foundation for optimum pricing strategy for a brand or portfolio of brands.
