Express name test: On-line survey
The Client
A leading beer manufacturer and owner of a number of famous beer brands. Their objective was to expand their business by launching a new brand focussed on production characteristics.
The Challenge
Due to business requirements there was a need to meet a very tight deadline for finding the most appropriate name for a new brand of beer.
The Solution
MASMI Internet Research Department designed a web-based interview and recommended using its own panel of respondents. This panel has been creating during recent years and its current size is more than 200 thousand people. The respondents were asked to evaluate five suggested names for the new brand. In addition they were asked to suggest their own variant of the name in an open-ended question. The participants were very creative.
The Business Result
The result exceeded all expectations. During several days we gathered information from hundreds of completed questionnaires. Based on respondents ’ answers the new brand name was selected and this brand has now been successfully launched in the market.
