petrol station preferences
The Client
International petroleum products company.
The Challenge
Determine why individual drivers visited one or another petrol station, learn preferences and expectations drivers have for petrol stations and attached minimarkets in order to optimize product and service offering at client’s chain of locations.
The Solution
MASMI interviewed all drivers who purchased both fuel for their car and certain products in the station’s minimarket. Customers were asked why they visited a given station, what determined their choice of petrol stations overall, and what services and products they would like to see added at the petrol station and minimarket.
The Business Result
In addition to receiving a detailed demographic portrait of their users, the client received specific recommendations on what products should be added to the minimarket in order to meet customers’ needs – including over-the-counter medicines, food products, and personal hygiene products. Customers also commented on additional services needed at the petrol station, ranging from a carwash to vacuum cleaners for customer use.
